If you arrive with more guests than your table is booked for, you will not be seated and will have to wait for a walk-in table to become available.

Table bookings are held for up to 15 minutes after the booked time – please advise us as soon as possible if you are running late.
With early sittings we will require your table back after 2 hours or 2.5 hours for tables of 5 or more. For bookings after 1pm lunchtimes and 8pm evenings, you will have your table for the remainder of service.

A discretionary service charge of 12.5% is added to all dining tables. 100% of which goes to the team who worked on that day.

Children are welcome. We ask that children are supervised at all times. In the event of a child becoming distressed or upset, we respectfully ask that they are taken out of the dining room until they have calmed.

Friendly dogs are welcome in all areas of the pub. We ask that they are kept under control at all times, and that their owner clears up after them. In the event of a dog being a little vocal we ask that the owners are respectful of other guests and exit the pub until the dogs have settled down.

Please don’t take offence if you’re asked to keep the noise down a little if your children, dogs, or party are causing a nuisance to other diners.

Only food and drink purchased from the premises may be eaten at the venue.

I have tried to book above but I don’t see any availability for the time I would like.

If you are trying to book a time when the kitchen is open, this most likely means we are fully booked. We keep half of the restaurant open for walk ins. And if the garden is open for food that is a walk in service also. You can check our normal kitchen opening times below. If the kitchen is closed for another reason we will have a banner saying so at the top of this page.

I am aware you keep walk in tables available, I would like to try a walk in, when should I arrive.

We keep plenty of tables aside for walk ins, however we do get busy to it is recommended that you arrive as early as possible to avoid a wait for a table. Our kitchen opens in the evening at 5pm every day (except on a Sunday when the kitchen is open 6pm-8:30pm) and 12-2:30pm on the days we are open for lunch. You will be advised on wait times upon arrival and you’d be welcome to get a drink at the bar whilst you wait for a table.

Are you serving Hamzah’s Steak platter at the time we want to visit? 

When the kitchen is open, we will have the steak platter available. The only time we don’t serve the steak is Sunday lunch. For kitchen opening times see the times bellow. If the kitchen is closed for any other reason it will be posted at the top of this page.

We would like to bring a birthday cake.

You are welcome to bring in a cake. We charge a cakeage fee of £1 per head. If you give the cake and candles to a member of staff we can set up the cake and bring it out when you are ready for it. Alternatively we have a chocolate brownie which can be brought out with a candle.

I would like to book for Sunday Lunch.

We do not take bookings for Sunday Lunch, it is a walk in service only. This is due to how busy we are and the way we run the service so this is unfortunately non-negotiable. We recommend coming down as early as possible, people start queuing before 11:30 and the queue that is waiting when we open at 12pm will fill the pub. After which it is usually a wait for a table. We typically sell out of roasts before the advertised kitchen closing time. Sometimes at early as half 1 or 2pm!

Can I Buy a gift voucher for the pub?

We sell gift vouchers, however they are physical vouchers and hence can only be purchased in person at the pub. The gift vouchers come in denominations of £5, £20, £50 or a combination there off.

Can I Buy Food to take away?

We do not offer any kind of takeaway service. Our kitchen is very small for how busy and the size the pub is.

I would like to book a table for 10 or more people, how do I go about this?

Please email us. However, note that we are only about to offer large tables to book at certain times and days of the week. We are unable to book tables of 10 or more Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday evening. Also due to the high volume of walk ins we get every day, we are unable to hold a table for later booking, hence we are typically only able offer large bookings early evening slots Monday – Wednesday or weekday lunchtimes when we are open, providing we still have tables available.

I would like to drive to the pub, is there parking available

Unfortunately we do not have customer parking at the pub. Between 8am and 6:30pm the nearby streets operate a 2 hour, no return policy, however after 6:30pm most of the area goes to resident permit holders only. Make sure you check the parking restriction signs when parking up. The nearest council run car park is behind the Tesco on Cowley Road.
